Sulp. or Thuy. [See Amagdylitis.] - A chronic enlargement. Give Bell. Baryt. C. Iodi. Ignat. Merc. APHONIA. Aphonia, or loss of the Yoice, or Hoarseness (which see.) The remedies for this affec- tion are Aeon. Arnic. Ars. Bell. Carb. V. Tart. Anti. or Nux Y. Oleand. Plati. Phos. or Thuy. Of Infants. Use Chin. Opi. Tart. Anti. or some of the preceding remedies. APOPLEXY. Apoplexy. This is a disease which attacks the brain, and generally produces a sudden falling down and a state of insensibility— it is commonly produced by an unnatural or increased determination of blood or fluids to the brain. There are a variety of diseased states of the brain which results in this disease.
