About this work
Description
Le singe: po?me latin...Traduit par M.D.R.L. With other verses, epigrams, etc., by later Authors. M.D.R.L. may possibly stand for the initials of Fran?ois VI de la Rochefoucauld [1613-1680]. 'Le singe' ends at fol. 31, and is dated 1704. Among the following verses the undermentioned are of medical interest: Fol. 45 [Anon.] Sur Cristofle Ozane [sic] M?decin de Chaudray. This is Christofle Ozanne [1633-1713]. Ff. 62-64 [Duhamel (J.).] A marginal note dated 1712, states that the Author was 'Professeur de Rh?torique au Col[l]?ge des Grassins'. This last item seems to be written by a different hand. On the first leaf is the name 'Thevenin' in a late 18th cent. hand.
