Ghost in the machine.

Starting with considering humankind's existential relationship with life and death (using Egyptian, Medieval and Renaissance imagery), this film explores some of the known, at the time of the film, possible mind-body links in mental health. The film focusses on two principle affective disorders - anxiety and depression primarily illustrating this through abstract and medical animation. The film makes some assertions about the incidence of respiratory and digestive disorders in people who are neurotic; it errs on the side that mental illness is organic, physiological in nature.
