The present MS. is prefaced by an epistle dedicatory addressed to Philip, earl of Pembroke and Montgomery, lord president of the council of the Marches of Wales, written by the Rev. George Owen, afterwards archdeacon of St. David’s, son of the Rev. Evan Owen, chancellor ot St. David’s, and grandson of George Owen, the historian. [210] 730.
