About this work

Description

"Researching Women’s Health: An Issues Paper was commissioned for publication to coincide with the 1991 National Medical Research Week, focusing on women’s health. It represents an important contribution to our awareness of gaps in the current spread of women’s health research and makes recommendations for the areas of research to be encouraged in the future. The paper analyses women’s health research particularly in relation to the recommendations of the National Women’s Health Policy, which was launched in April 1989 by the Prime Minister, following consultations with over a million women around Australia. It called for action in five key areas including research and data collection on women’s health."--From Foreword.
