Description
The Dama de Elche is an ancient Iberian limestone bust of a woman wearing large spirals on each side of her head. It was excavated in Elche in the province of Alicante in 1897. Though an example of early Spanish sculpture, it was sold to the Louvre, but was later repatriated to Spain
