![[ 06 ] For every packet, box, bottle, or other inclofure, con- taining medicines, not exceeding in value Is. a three half- penny ftamp. Above Is. and not more than 2s. 6d. a {lamp, value Sd. Above 2s. fid. and not above 4s. ftamp fid. Above 4s. and not above 10s. ftamp Is. Above 10s. and not above 20s. ftamp 2s. Above 20s. and not above 30s. ftamp 3s. Duties to be paid by the owners and proprietors, or makers and compounders, or original and firft vendors of preparations fubjeeft to the duty ; and (hall be charged upon, and paid, before the fame (hall be delivered out cf the cus- tody of the owners, or original vendors, for fale, either wholesale or retail, either for FOREIGN or home confumption; and the ftamp muft be affixed before the fame fnall in any way be uttered or vended, either for FOREIGN or home confumption, or expofed to fale, or offered or kept ready for fale, and not in bulk; in any houfe, {hop, &c. Second Claufe of the Amendment, (connected with the foregoing.) Perfons receiving from proprietors, articles l'ub- je£t to the duty, without ftarnps, or not having the proper ftamps, and who fliall not within ten days return them to the fender, or elfe give information thereof to the Commif- fioners at Somcrfet Place, and alfo depofit fuch unftamped goods with the neareft diftributor of ftamps, within ten days, fhall forfeit TWENTY POUNDS. Third Claufe of the Amendment, (conne&ed with the foregoing.)
