Next, the flatement alferts, “ That on the 23d of May, 1791, a claim of a greater falary than <£ iool. per annum was for thefirft time made by £< fome of the king’s profelfors.” The direct contrary of this alfertion appears from the minutes of the college of phyficians of June 1787 and of April 1788 j from the query put to two council of eminence and in flation at the bar, by the college, on the latter of thofe dates, viz.
