During the year the Department has been chiefly concerned with the investigation into the effect of convulsive treatment in the psycho¬ galvanic response. The work is part of a long¬ term project and some 4000 tests were made both on patients undergoing this form of therapy and on suitable control subjects. The work has con¬ tinued according to plan and a detailed assess¬ ment of it cannot yet be made. *t/ In addition, routine psychological tests have been made on 47 patients for diagnostic and clinical purposes; a validation study of certain
