RK Cinnamon, Cassia-wood, Zss; True scordium, 3} ; Dittany of Crete, Tormentil, Bistort, Galbanum, Gum-arabic, aa Zss ; Storax, 5ivss ; Seeds of sorrel, Opium, aa 3); Gentian, Zss ; Bole armeniac, Ziss ; Terra Lemnia, 3ss ; Long pepper, Ginger, àà 5i]; Clarified honey, lb.iiss ; Sugar of roses, 1b.j ; Good canary wine, 5viij. Fiat electuarium secundum artem. Dodder of the thyme, Cuscuta Epithymum ; Linn. Dragon's-blood, Juice of Pterocarpus Draco; Linn. Emplastrum Diachalcites.—F¥ormula of the Pharmacopeeia Londinensis, A.D. 1682. K Hogslard (well kept, unsalted, and free from membrane), lb.ij ; Old olive oil, Oxide of lead, Litharge of gold (ground and sifted), aa lb.iij ; White vitriol (burnt and powdered), Ziv. Boil together, over a slow fire, the litharge, oil, and lard, with a dash of plan- tain-water, stirring up the mixture with a spoon until of the consistency of a plaster. Upon removal from the fire, add in the vitriol, and make up into a mass. Emplastrum ad herniam.—Formula of the Pharmacopeeia Londinensis, A.D. 1650. K Galls, Cypress-cones, Rind of pomegranates, Flower of pomegranates, Acacia, Seeds of plantain, » lousewort, 5 cress, Acorn-cups, Parched beans, Aristolochia (each kind), Bilberries, aa $ss.
