    The tryal of Mr. John Whaley , on an action brought against him by Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, for a non-performance of a promise of marriage: try'd on Friday the 26th of June, 1730, at the sittings at Guildhall, in His Majesty's Court of Common-Pleas, before the Right Honourable Sir Robert Eyre.
