The second part of the timber-tree improved Containing, I. The nature and uses of foreign and British timber-trees. II. Of oak; a profitable account of it from tradesmen, with several cases relating to this timber. To know if trees are found or unfound, as they stand, or after felling. The Silva of Mr. Evelyn, one of the best books upon planting ever published, being nearly out of print, and the few remaining copies of the fifth edition sold at the high price of three guineas, it is proposed to give a new edition of that most valuable work, with notes and plates. At first it was proposed to print the book upon a demi paper; but that size being objected to by several gentlemen of distinction, the editor, in deference to their opinion, now designs to publish it upon royal paper, and to ornament it with a greater number of plates than were originally intended
