To the independent inhabitants of Knaresbrough . Gentlemen, a meeting is intended to be held at Mr. Savages on Wednesday next by the Devonshire party, to consider of a mode of expressing their attachment to the present constitution; this is undoubtedly, a step highly political on the part of borough-mongers, and their adherents, but will it not be equally improper in the inhabitants of this rotten borough, to join in such a declaration? Might it not strengthen the Duke of Devonshire's claim, and prevent our obtaining a restoration of our rights? ..
