The fifth edition, much improved, being a more minute and particular account of that arch impostor Charles Price , Otherwise Patch, otherwise Wilmot, otherwise Powel, otherwise Brant, &c. &c. &c. many years a Stock-Broker and Lottery-Office-Keeper In London and Westminster: in this edition the whole of his various forgeries and fraud are circumstantially related; together with his Origin, and all the materia Occurrences of his Life, including that desperate Undertaking of forgeries on the Bank of England. In the carrying on of which, he, in the most artful and surprising Manner, baffled every Mode of Detection, set on foot by the Directors and the Magistrates of Bow-Street, for a Series of Six Years. With this Edition is given, as a Frontispiece, an exact Representation of his Person, in the Disguise he wore when he negotiated his first Parcel of Counterfeit Bank Notes, in the Year 1780, and likewise another Portrait of him in his usual Dress.

Otherwise Patch, many years a Lottery Office Keeper, In London and Westminster: Who, to avoid an ignominious death, destroyed himself in Tothill-Fields Bridewell, on the 24th of January, 1786.
