Description

Concerns the Convener's Bond, signed in 1849, and the agreements made between Crichton Royal Institution and the three Counties of Dumfries, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright and Wigtown regarding the responsibilities of each party in providing care and accommodation to pauper patients, and the receipt of patients into the Southern Counties Asylum. It comprises excerpts of Minutes of the Board of Direction, the Commissioners of Supply for Dumfriesshire, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright and Wigtownshire, copy letters, legislative clauses and the Bond, from 1847-1857.
