Photograph of a circle of twisted palm leaves used to give farms the protection of Udo, a powerful Arusi or Alusi, spirits worshipped in the Igbo religion. The photograph was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1937 (accession number PHO 9321)
