Description

Photograph of a letter dated 3 January 1893 from the Holmsdale Cottage Hospital informing Lister that he has been elected an Honorary Surgeon to the Holmsdale Cottage Hospital, Sevenoaks. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
