Description
Photograph of four 19th century monaural stethoscopes. From left to right, the first was possibly designed by Duckworth, the second was designed by Duckworth and the third was designed by Fergusson or Stokes. They were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1923, 1936 and 1955, accession numbers (left to right): R95/1955, R14807, R14808 and R2283/1936. They are not held by Wellcome Collection. The two on the right are now held by the Science Museum (object numbers A625035 and A625033).
