Report of the presentation of a Gold Medal from Henry Wellcome

Two copies of a typescript report of the presentation to Power of a Gold Medal from Henry Wellcome, together with an abridged version of the text as published in Tropical Life (London, November 1921). The report includes the presentation address (by Dr Charles D Walcott, Secretary of the Smithsonian Institute and President of the National Academy of Sciences) and Power's reply. (The medal was presented in the Assembly Hall of the Cosmos Club, Washington DC, 9 May, 1921.)

Also in the file, a copy for Power of a letter (Snow Hill Buildings, London, 2 June, 1921) from Edward Linstead to David Fairchild (Bureau of Plant Industry, Washington DC), thanking him for the typescript record of the proceedings and advising that a reference to the presentation "appeared in The Times of today".
