Previous title, replaced January 2022: Saint Martin of Tours (11th november).

Wooden statue of Saint Martin of Tours (316-397) soldier saint and later Bishop of Tours. Invoked against boils and various epidemics and invoked for children who are slow to walk. The item was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R598/1938). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
