Description

Photograph of a female anatomical wax model, close up of the head and torso from above with a layer removed to reveal the stomach, kidneys and bladder beneath. The M Series register suggests the model is 18th century and French, and is possibly attributed to Clemente Susini (previously attributed to Anna Morandi Manzolini). The model was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 7th December 1951 (R205/1951) and is now held by the Science Museum (A627043).
