Description

Photograph of a statue of Nike standing on a globe, arms and wings missing. Originally stood on the hand of Zeus in the temple of Zeus at Olympia. The statue was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1931 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R4517/1936). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
