The flower-heads of the composite plant Matricaria Chamomilla, Linne, commonly designated as the “ German Chamomile,” are used to a considerable extent medicinally, and possess properties similar to those of the so called Roman or English chamomile (from Anthemis nobilis, Linne). They are recognised by most of the national Pharmacopoeias, but not by the British.
