Description

Impressions from three seals. On the left is a greenstone seal incised with two lines of inscription and three figures. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1924 and accessioned in 1938 (R2360/1938). The middle seal is Assyrian, made of stone and incised with images of birds and animals. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1933 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R479/1937). The right seal is made of black haematite and incised with an image of a deity and worshippers and three lines of inscription. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1924 and accessioned in 1938 (accession number R2370/1938).
