Description

Photograph of a girdle used by a traditional healer hung with cowrie shells and amulets. From Uganda. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1933 and accessioned in 1947 (accession number R140/1943). it was removed from the Museum's holdings in 1965.
