Black and white reproduction of Susruta, or Sushruta, the ancient Indian physician known as the main author of the treatise The Compendium of Susruta. Includes an English annotation underneath the image, which reads "Susruta Ca. 1000 B.C. Instructed in Surgery by Dhanwantari". The image and annotation in English underneath are visibly attached to the original paper before reproduction.
