About this work

Description

A set of 15 Chinese posters dating from the mid-1950s when the Communists were starting to implement a basic healthcare system. Given the level of detail contained in the illustrations, they were apparently intended for the training of doctors and medical personnel. The illustrations are printed from coloured drawings, possibly derived from existing illustrations in western sources. All text in Chinese
