Photograph of the first page of a letter dated 13 April 1882 from the Royal Society of Sciences and Arts in Gothenburg announcing Lister's election as an Honorary Member. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
