About this work

Description

Enclosed is a copy of Pontecorvo's 'Report on Activity (1945-1947) of the Department of Genetics and Proposals for its development'. Pontecorvo is quite critical of the University's handling of his pleas for support for a Genetics Department that will lead the way in teaching to research and Hindle's letter refers to Pontecorvo submitting an application for the chair in Genetics at Birmingham.
