Description

Two carved wooden statues of St Isidore the Labourer (c.1070-1130) patron saint of farmers and invoked against drought. They were purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and 1934 respectively and were accessioned in 1938 (accession numbers R430/1938 and R447/1938). They are not held by Wellcome Collectiom.
