I have much pleasure in testifying that PROFESSOR Macalister’S eminence as an Anatomist and Zoologist is not greater than his skill and success as a Teacher. Asa Lecturer he is singularly clear in statement, happy in illustration, and fluent in delivery. His long experience as Demonstrator of Human Anatomy in the two chief Medical Schools of this city, combined with his rare ability and tact, render him peculiarly skilful in directing and aid- ing Students in their Dissections ; and many who have attended his Classes in the University and the College of Surgeons’ School have expressed to me, in strong terms, their admiration for Dr.Macalister as a Demonstrator. Although wishing Dr. Macalister success in his candidature for the Chair of Anatomy in the University of Glasgow, I would deeply regret to lose so distinguished and popular a colleague in the Medical School of Trinity College.
