    Biographical note

    The Eighth International Congress of the International Union of Midwives (Compte Rendu du VIIIe Congrès International des Accoucheuses), held in Paris in 1938.

    Professor Frans Daels of Ghent, Belgium, was the General Secretary of the International Union of Midwives, and had played an active and leading role in the re-establishment of the International Federation after the First World War, and in organising the 1932 Congress in Ghent.
