Description
Photograph of four silver medical instruments: a medicine spoon, possibly French; a tongue-scraper, marked 1827; a female telescopic catheter marked 1901; and a concealed bistoury, 1836. The items were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at unknown points. The medicine spoon and tongue-scraper were given accession numbers A70559 and A119216, the catheter was accessioned in 1941 (accession number R561/1941) and the bistoury was accessioned in 1961 (accession number R2/1961). They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
