Description

Preaching at the miser's funeral, Saint Anthony quote Luke (12:34): "Where your wealth is, there will your heart be also." The scene shows the dissection of the miser in the presence of Saint Anthony, with the miser's heart found in his money chest in the balcony above. A member of the Franciscan order, he was also known as Saint Anthony of Lisbon after his birthplace. He was canonized in 1232, only a year after his death
