Photograph of a letter dated November 1879 from the Society for the Advancement of the Natural Sciences, of Medicine and Surgery, Amsterdam announcing Lister's election as an Honorary Member. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
