Description
Two carved wooden statues of Saint Tugean, Breton Saint invoked against rabies, wolves and hydrophobia. He is shown holding a key with a wolf or a dog. The first statue was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R4745/1937). The second statue was purchased in 1934 and accessioned in 1938 (R442/1938). They are not held by Wellcome Collection.
