Photograph of three dental pelicans. The item on the left is a steel single-ended pelican with two claws, 16th-17th century. It was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1962 (accession number R189/1962). The middle item is an early 18th century pelican with endless screw for adjusting the position of the claws. It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A500405. The item on the right is a single hooked pelican with wooden handle. It was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1919 (accession number R8694)
