Description
Photograph of a wooden kettle drum with skin membrane secured with twisted fibre cord. From the Cataractes region of what was then the Belgian Congo, now the Democractic Republic of the Congo. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and accessioned in 1933 (accession number R53608). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
