72 pages 4to. 21 1/2 x 16 cm. On vellum. 19th cent. half-pigskin binding. Margins slightly cropped. Written in a small gothic script, by the same hand throughout, in double column of 49 lines to a column. Ornamental initial in blue and red on page 1, other capitals in alternate blue and red; a few paragraph marks in blue, but mainly in red, headings in red. The pagination is modern. A rough pen-drawing of a lady in Tudor [?] costume, head and shoulders only, is found in the lower margin of page 72.

In Latin.

Ownership note

On the lower margin of p. 17 is the signature of 'William Wesnall' by an early Elizabethan hand. From the Payne Collection, with his book-plate. No. 403 of Sotheby's Catalogue.
