Description

Photograph of four pairs of forceps: a pair of fenestrated forceps and three pairs of trephination forceps used for removing circular pieces of bone. The fenestrated forceps were acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1957 (accession number R29/1957). The trephination forceps were acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and accessioned in 1917 (accession number R4913, R4916 and R4912). None of the items are held by Wellcome Collection.
