Description

Photograph of a carved wooden drum painted with figures and a natural hide head. It was previously in the possession of the former Governor of Northern Nigeria and Uganda, Sir Hesketh Bell. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930 and given accession number A127130. It was transferred from the Museum's holdings in 1966.
