Biographical note
The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology was established in 1983 and is part of the Foundation of Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), one of the largest research centers in Greece. It is based in Heraklion, Crete. It is dedicated to research and training in molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics, neuroscience, immunology, developmental biology, and related life sciences.
Ownership note
Ashburner was a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee 1989-1997 and was Chair 1989-1994.
