Description

Photograph of two bronze fibulae. One is Iron Age, from Hallstatt II, and is an evolved cushion type. The other is a Roman type from La Tene III, Budapest. They were both purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1919 and accessioned in 1937. The Hallstatt one has accession number R4689/1937 and the Roman one has accession number R4687/1937
