Written throughout in the same handwriting as MSS. 23, 42, 58 A-D., i.e., John Henderson.
172 folios: Case and Lecture Notes fo. 1-60: Notes of cases, many dated, the dates ranging between 1st August, 1722, and 24th January, 1730-1. The cases are both medical and surgical. These are selected and copied, not original. fo. 61-66: Notes on Hippocrates. Epitome of Prognostic [covering Cap. i-xxiv] (fo. 61-64); De Humoribus [note on Cap. iii] (fo. 64 verso); De Judicationibus [short notes] (fo. 64 verso-65); Prædictorum [short notes on Book i] (fo. 66). Folio 67 is blank. fo. 68-162: Lecture Notes. Headed: "Abstracts of a Course of Lectures on the Theory and Pract. of Physic." The lecturer's name is not stated, nor is the date or place indicated. From MS.MSL.58, however, it is clear that the lectures are those of John Gregory, and were given in Edinburgh either before or after 1769, as the course of that year is reported in MSS. 58 A-C.
