Photograph of a letter to Joseph Lister from the University of Glasgow dated 29 January 1908 in response to Lister's refusal in connection with Chancellorship of Glasgow University. It is one of a number of photographs accumulated by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum as part of its exhibition held in 1927 to celebrate the centenary of Lister, in conjunction with The Royal Society, The British Universities Hospitals and Medical and Surgical Colleges.
