Photograph of a framed oil painting by a follower of David Teniers the younger depicting a surgeon tying a tourniquet around a man's arm. A caption attached to the frame titles the work 'The Barber Surgeon' and attributes the work to David Teniers the Elder, likely for display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. The painting was accessioned by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum on 20th November 1939 (R2693/1939).
