Correspondence regarding a visit to Portugal at the invitation of the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência. Crick delivered a lecture ("How Genes Work") at the Gulbenkian headquarters in Lisbon on 31 May, 1978, and a lecture ("Intervening Sequences in DNA") at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Oeiras, on the following day.
