Sky, Sea and Land (artwork)

A painting in Rita Simon's Archaic Transition style, depicting "Sky, sea, sand" (inscription by Rita Simon on verso). "A simple example of change of mood, starting with linear blue mouth, then overpainting with diagonality. Blue at top. Abutting of Massive and Linear" Rita Simon. Rita Simon said the style was both Archaic Transition and Archaic Massive. This information is taken from conversations between Rita Simon and Wellcome staff between 1995 and 1997.
