Photograph of five small cylindrical glass bottles or phials, typically used for medicines or balsams, comparing Roman (top centre), possibly Medieval (left and right) and possibly 18th century Italian (centre). The phials were previously held by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, but are no longer held by Wellcome Collection.
