Reproduction of a photograph of an engraving depicting the 'London Burkers', John Bishop (left), Thomas Williams (centre) and James May (right) with facsimilie signatures underneath. The men were convicted in 1831 of the murder of a victim for the purposes of dissection. The original engraving was published in The history of the London Burkers ; containing a faithful and authentic account of the horrid acts of the noted Resurrectionists, Bishop, Williams, May..., London : T.
